Culturally and even linguistically there is not a lot of difference between the Dutch and people from Essex. Right down to their love of having sex in the back of Ford Cortinas while parked in woodland. Think David Van Day, or Denise Van Outen.

So darts is no surprise, really.

What is stranger is why every single public building on the island of Malta has a snooker table in it.

            Or White Van Man.

Would I be right in thinking that Dutch names have quite an old money/blue blood sort of cachet in America?

On the other hand, you don't get much more blue collar than Springsteen.
