Perhaps the worst game of the new LIONS era as the PATS shut out DETROIT offensively and rolled to an easy victory.

It had all started so well when CHARLES WOODSON intercepted BRADY and returned it for the TD but DETROIT would score no more points after that.

BRADY completed 18 of 27 for 273 yards and the pick.

STAFFORD completed 12 of 29 for 175 yards and the INT. BENNETT rushed 7 times for 59 yards. He ought to have had more carries.

PATS RB JOEL DONALDSON was the MVP, running 19 times for 100 yards and the score. The PATS also got 4 sacks in their demolition of the SILVER STRETCH.

In the SUPER BOWL it's our nemesis, the 14-2 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS! They beat us in the big game at the end of Year 2!

DRE BLY and TERRY FAIR both recorded INTs while STRAHAN and ELLISS both recorded sacks.

BENNETT slashed 15 times for 69 yards and the score while DILLARD caught 4 balls for 103 yards and the score.

DONOVAN DARIUS, BOSS BAILEY, SHAUN ROGERS, MICHAEL STRAHAN all sacked CULPEPPER in a bullying display. BAILEY and CHARLES WOODSON also added INTs of the troubled oversized QB. He finished 11 of 25 for 185 yards and 2 INTs. MOSS caught only 4 balls for 43 yards.
