Well, I've just returned from Old Trafford and a bit of an upset.
I really couldn't see further than Saints for this one but Leeds were spot-on tactically, their kicking from half-back superb and the midfield defence inpenetrable for the last vital half-hour. They wouldn't allow Saints any momentum at all. Whilst it wasn't the most open and exhilirating of games it was never less than compulsive.
Absolutely foul conditions - a real testimony to the players that there were relatively so few handling errors.
Oh, and just so that no post about the 'family game' goes cliche-free I must report that I was sat in a stand where no segregation was in operation and fans from both teams sat side by side without a single hint of trouble and very little audible bad language.
What the hell is it with football?
