This wasn't meant as a challenge, but...

    Yorkshire 30/3, 90 behind.

Oy, Kevin! Where are the Somerset updates?

Somerset lead Nottinghamshire by 92 runs with 9 wickets remaining. The one they've lost was a night watchman fail. So they're looking to set a high target tomorrow.

I was only jesting but thanks anyway!

Porter traps Lyth - he'd dug in well yesterday afternoon but a low skidding one gets Lyth on the back foot.

Yorkshire six wickets in hand, still 68 behind.

Harry Brook beaten by Siddle, hit on the pad, line of the stumps and that's the two overnight batters gone in the first half an hour.

Yorkshire 62 behind with five second innings wickets remaining.

Somerset have not lost any further wickets this morning, so have nine in hand and have built the lead up to 113 now.

Looks like Durham are putting together a great second innings at Grace Road, now 231/1 with a lead of 134. This is after they were 117 all out in the first innings.

Ashwin has removed Somerset's other opener so they now have eight wickets remaining; their lead is up to 141.

Ooh, it's number six and Tattersall is not happy, kicking away at the ground. Spooned up from the bowling of Harmer to Lawrence at leg gully. The umpire took a while to give it but I think Tattersall must reckon that didn't come off his bat.

Ashwin strikes again at Taunton but you still feel Somerset are going to build a big enough lead. They lead by 159 runs with seven wickets remaining. Notts made 241 in their first innings.

Er, that's another Somerset batter gone though. Patterson-White claiming the wicket this time.

Lunch at Chelmsford. Yorkshire just four runs shy of parity now but with three wickets remaining.

And Somerset are 108/6 now, a lead of 193.

Back underway and the Essex - Yorks match has a new link for a new session.

Yorkshire are now into lead-building. Still got the three wickets and currently 6 ahead.

Patterson-White has his fourth for Notts and Somerset are now eight down with 115 on the board.

Maharaj doing a fine job for Yorkshire, he's on 55 and the lead is up to 27 now with the two wickets remaining. Maharaj has been dropped, too.

Very much Yorkshire's session so far. Lead now 72 and still with those two wickets in hand.

Phew! Siddle crashes one into Maharaj's off stump and he gets a standing ovation from the Chelmsford crowd for his 85, which he clearly appreciated.

End of innings at Taunton. A pair of fifers for Ashwin and Patterson-White.

Notts need 255 to win, and Somerset need ten wickets.

Just thought I'd look up Liam Patterson-White as it wasn't a name I recognised. And that's because he's only 20 years old and this match is his first class debut. Not a bad way to start your career, is it?

Yorkshire are 81 ahead now, one wicket remaining.

Wierdly, CricBuzz is calling the Aus A game against Sussex an Unofficial Test. Which rather gives the impression that Sussex is about to UDI. Apart from that it's probably not the toughest match Australia could have arranged given Sussex's current form. It is at Arundel though which is lovely for cricket.

Nice thread mate, keep up the reports.

Sir Alistair catches Coad to end the innings and immediately jogs off to get his pads on.

Essex need 92 to win. Yorkshire need ten wickets.

Cracking start for Somerset though, as they have a wicket already. Notts are 7/1.

I'm currently enduring a rain break at Netherfield for the Minor Counties match between Cumberland and Cambridgeshire which had been set for an interesting final day finish. Cambridgeshire needed a fairly hefty 305 to win but when play was delaued they were 56-1 off 12 and looking good. Waqas Hussein - previously a big part of Berkshire's Minor Counties successes of recent years - was looking omonously good on 40 not out and striking the ball as well as anyone I've seen this season. Have a feeling the teams may shake on a draw if they don't vome out soon.
