Was the fifth and sixth balls of the over so he'll have to wait for his chance. (edit - and it was a dot ball)
Meanwhile Harmer has another, Surrey are 63/3.
Everything's coming up Essex at the moment. (But of course Somerset have home advantage next week.)Last edited by Kevin S; 18-09-2019, 13:15.

Somerset nine down. Van der Merwe earns the distinction of being Somerset's only player not to be dismissed by Abbott in the match (red inker in the first innings, Dawson in the second).

Abbott actually took the catch to dismiss van der Merwe. He's ended up taking 17-86, that's the seventh best match figures in all first class cricket ever.
Sam Billings has become the first ever player to score twin hundreds in a Championship match at Headingley. Now Kent have dismissed both Yorkshire's openers before we reached double figures. Sake.

Equally impressive is that stat about Billings. Does that refer to.just visiting players at Headingley? I would be genuinely amazed if no Yorkshire player had ever hit twin hundreds there.
