I think Gwlad! coined the Monkey Felcher nickname, hence why I thought you were on Gwlad!. I was John Taylor's Muttonchops. The board's actually seen a revival since going to FreeForums, went on there earlier today and there were 35 users logged on at the time. Snedds was a regular user and has now become something of a YouTube star, PhilBB the world's most one-eyed Cardiff fan and several other Welsh rugby internet legends.
Taylor did the World Cup in 2011 and the Lions tour in 2013 on TalkSport radio. I suspect he's in semi-retirement now and doing the PA at Twickenham suits him fine, since he's 73 years old. I have no idea how he managed to remain so good at commentating given the lack of practice, since ITV seemed to only show the Rugby World Cup and he would sit on a shelf for four years between tournaments. He didn't pop up on Sky doing away tours like Bob Symonds did either. Steve Smith wasn't half bad as the pundit too. I can't have been the only person who thought ITV did the punters a disservice by hiring in Miles Harrison (bluergh) and Stuart Barnes (double bluergh, especially these days as he's phoned it in for years) and relegating Taylor to minnow pool games in 2007 before booting him entirely in 2011.
