Yeah. Just then, when a stat came up, and I remembered.
I fucking remembered in the court outside Brixton Prison, with a Jazz ball. Yeah, I remembered.
Half-court, with the proviso of his number, and I was looking at him, and I remembered.
And, I remembered, that even though I am a shortarse, throwing shapes at these big mothers, ...
Fucking half-court John Stockton. You made me the man I am.

The Blazers' Jusuf Nurkic suffered one of the most horrific leg injuries I've seen. You could hear his leg snapping on the TV broadcast. While he was on the floor writing in agony, the referee stepped on his foot while walking over him in a bit of incredibly unaware dumbassery.
It's a shame for the Blazers, who are just behind Houston for the #3 spot in the playoffs.

Russell Westbrook went 20-21-20 last night, the first person since Wilt Chamberlain to have a triple-double with over 20 in each category. He specifically said it was a tribute to Nipsey Hussle.

Hell of a way to close out the series. Lillard has been a star among those who follow basketball closely, but even still he has never really had a big national profile, I feel like that's changing now. Carrying out a personal feud against another equally talented and disrespectful player throughout the series can do that for your profile, and there's not really anyone on Denver or San Antonio that raises to that level, I don't think.Last edited by Incandenza; 24-04-2019, 13:07.

Great performance from Sweet Lou, but the Warriors looked pretty flat. Curry had a terrible game, but once he came back into the game in the 4th, the ball was going mostly to him and Klay, instead of the obviously better Durant. KD probably can't wait to get out of there. I would say that Houston must be eagerly anticipating taking them on while they look so gassed and out of sorts, but I don't think it's a given that they'll get past the Clippers. The last team to lose at home while up 3-1 in a playoff series...the Warriors against the Cavs in 2016.

I just saw something that made me realise how fucking good these ballers are:
Harden goes for a two-step loopy-dunk, but just as he releases the ball, realises that he's fucked it, and touches it with his other hand (his pinky!) to change the trajectory ever-so-slightly, and of course the ball goes in.
That's class.

Trailblazers came from behind to win away at the Nuggets to go through to the Western Conference Finals to play the Golden State Warriors. CJ McCollum played especially well.
Another Game 7 in about an hour - 76ers vs the Raptors but my lord these games are looong so I can't see me staying up for it.Last edited by Jon; 12-05-2019, 23:17.

Well, I saw the most amazing 4.1 seconds of NBA basketball ever last night.
Setup: Toronto - Philly. Game 7. Score is 90 - 90. 4.1 seconds left. Throw in....Kawhi Leonard gets the ball....throws deep.....bounces on the rim once....two times....three times....four times....sinks.
Toronto loses its collective mind.
[Would someone more intelligent than me please embed a tweet of the shot? Ta.]
