Still not enough on terrestrial telly (at which Channel 4 was a superior cricket broadcaster to the Beeb FWIW), but it's a start.

Yeah, if the Beeb had all the new T20 that'd be a start. Just some of it means that it's likely to fall between the cracks.

I'm unsure whether or not the numbers quoted for the T20i are matches or series. And I presume these are annual, rather than total numbers over five years.

If the Beeb can only afford one thing then I'm glad they've gone down the T20 route; I think that offers the most hope of driving participation.

Was amused by Sky's press release saying they would be investing in participation and grass roots "following its hugely successful Sky Ride cycling initiative". That would be the same Sky Ride they withdrew their funding from last year, then.

Pleased that there's women's cricket in the new deal. Has there ever been any women's cricket shown live or highlights on free to air telly before?

Does the deal stipulate that the BBC must show highlights at reasonable times of day, not post-11pm?

What deal is in place for the 2019 World Cup?
