Five down now, 154 scored. But Moeen Ali has brought up his 50 including some lovely boundaries.
Anderson's shoulder injury keeps him out of the Bangladesh tour but Cook says he will also have to miss the first Test in India.

Decent first day for England in the end, with Moeen and Bairstow doing well.
But Mehedi Hasan Miraz is the star of the day - an 18 year old off spinner who has taken 5 for 64. Nice.

Gripping stuff that. I think England will get an inevitable win tomorrow morning, but Bangladesh have proven they're more than a match. What time does it start tomorrow, BST? 5am?

Compelling match so far, would love to see Bangladesh get over the line.

They did, Cook was told Broad was being given a final over then it would be too dark for the seamers. As Cook didn't want to bowl spin at both ends they went off. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the spinners before India.

It's a shame, but Bangladesh can take so much from this performance - it's their first test in 15 months, yet they very nearly won it. If Shakib hadn't had his moment of madness two balls into the third morning, they probably would have. According to Cricinfo's commentary, it's the first time they've taken 20 wickets against a top six nation. And they had two debutants put up excellent performances.

Yeah, I think test cricket has a good balance in use of video technology. Because of the limited number of reviews on offer, and because the assumption is always that the on-field umpire was right, within a margin of error, you generally don't have too many periods where you're waiting too long for decisions.

I don't understand why they're not blooding Hameed in this game. What are they going to learn by picking Ballance again other than the fact that he's out of form?
I presume that Batty is being rested ahead of India, they'll need him there given that Rashid will likely get carted everywhere (if they pick him)
