My totally unscientific impression is that there is a much bigger fatalism factor this year than in most other playoff appearances. Not seeing a lot of hope out there. Less "go get 'em" and more "oh no not again".

We all know who McDavid is, but blackout rules means we don't get to see him as much as we should.

Presently, the Jets excepted, every Canadian team is floundering. Some more than others, and for somewhat disparate reasons, but really they're a very sad bunch.
