    And to Andre Tippett.

    Well deserved.

      Congrats to Art Monk.

Presumably this is being elected to the Hall of Fame? Both are a bit overdue.

Good call on Andre Tippett, FF, the best line backer of his day bar none.

Yes, they were inducted on Sunday. I actually thought Tippett was already in.

How about 'Downtown' Charlie Brown? Is he in?

He was my hero back when I was a 'skins fan.

I can't believe JV let this one go.

Charlie Brown is not in the HoF, nor does he deserve to be, as awesome as he was in 1982 and 1983.

I let it go. He's a Jersey Jew.

                Congrats to Art Monk.

And to give you the God's Honest, who knows what would've happened if LT and Tippet switched. While LT won a Super Bowl and was obviously astonishing, Tippet took what was at the time one of the goofiest, lamest, clown-town franchises to the Super Bowl.

LT had Harry Carson, Pepper Johnson, et al. Tippet had Patriot Patty Cakes.

                  Congrats to Art Monk.

I'm assuming John Riggins is in.

Art Monk got 106 catches one season. Even more than Todd Christiansen who was also very good.

                    Congrats to Art Monk.

I'd like to find out how many 3rd down catches he had, because his catches always...always...came at a time when the Skins were in deep defecation.

And he was related to Monk.

                        Congrats to Art Monk.

They didn't get many in the Super Bowl when they lost to the LA Raiders.

Pete Holihan, he was good as well at tight end.

Presumably some form of return of compliment, JV, but otherwise lost on me I'm afraid.

I have to admit to forgetting completely your allegiance, but the barb in "bar none" was specifically aimed at LT. Not that it was anything the man himself did, rather the seemingly incessant comparisons with LT the pundits made whenever Tippett was mentioned. Not that it's any kind of excuse I know, but it's always grated that Tippett couldn't exist in his own right.

He's from New Jersey, and converted to Judiasm.

Being that I cover 3/4s of that equation, I won't defend LT too much.

I never knew that Art was related to the Mr. Monk. That's cool.

Cheers, Ursus. Seems like quite a wait for Monk, seeing he retired in 1993.

Riggins was in, as I thought. I note he missed the whole 1980 season after a contract dispute.
