    Racism in English cricket

Continuing from the main 2021 County thread - Middx not helping themselves here. I suppose at least it's better he hangs himself in public than it comes out of the wash later:

It's no surprise that the cunt holds those views, but it is still somewhat gobsmacking that nobody coached him to filter that shit out of his replies.

I was surprised to see him punditing on the test in the West Indies on BT over the weekend but this is even worse.

I didn't realise he was back on that.

Absolutely disgusting. And cricket types will let it happen, like they let that scumbag Boycott keep happening.

Vaughan withdrew from the forthcoming TMS venue tour leaving just Agnew and Tufnell to take the game to the people. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets back on board with this as well.

I am shocked, shocked I tell you, at these claims that Graves was trying to influence Yorkshire last year

Well they're ones to talk. Ollie Robinson as one of the five of the year?

I've not opened my Wisden yet but I am seriously unconvinced.

Booth and Butcher have a full and frank exchange of views on the subject on the latest Wisden podcast.

I really like Booth, but tend to side with Butcher on this one.

I'm really pleased and proud that Gloucestershire have appointed David 'Syd' Lawrence as club president. The first British born black man to play for England, he opened up about racism he suffered whilst playing for Glos. The club issued an immediate apology and have followed through by giving him this role, in which he has said he is determined to open up opportunities for kids of all backgrounds to get involved in the game.

More of this sort of thing please.

Booth was vehement about this on Radio 4’s Today programme yesterday.
