With only five wickets down, Glamorgan are closing in on double the runs scored in the whole Essex Northants game.

While Notts are looking like winning, it's going to rely in there not being a winner between Hants and Lancs. Which, frankly, is not going to happen

Yorkshire are closing on an opening partnership in their second innings greater than the whole team scored in the first (after which they followed on)

I'm a bit surprised Surrey haven't taken the second new ball.

This is tiresome. Since Cooke reached 190 Surrey have been denying him the strike. So he's been scoring one run an over.

I don't get what's in it for Surrey. The lower order bat is getting a boundary every now and again and Glamorgan surely won't declare until Cooke gets his double.

Vince is keeping Hampshire in this.

                Currently on 45, with Hants 107 for 5, a lead of 109.

Nice crowd at Aigburth, too. Always wanted yo see a match there.

Parkinson traps Vince in front. Very big wicket for Lancs, though Dawson has gotten in and is currently on 41.

                  Hants 158 for 6, a lead of 160.

And Bailey bowls Dawson for a duck, completing his five-for

Everything is coming up (red) roses

Yorkshire lose two quick wickets at the end of the day. But Notts need not just to win - likely, and for Somerset to get at least a draw (perfectly possible) but also for neither Hants or Lancs to win. In the absence of a monsoon in Aigburth, a tie might be a more likely outcome than a draw.

How many more bonus points can Warwickshire pick up? One or two? Ah, that's going to still leave them half a point short of Lancs

Yes it’s a pleasant enough venue. Sedbergh School has become my new favourite and I hope more CC games will be played there.

Hmm, of all days for Vince to display his mettle..

Morning everyone. Not quite as nice at the oval as yesterday. Time to see if this pitch is as flat as the past two days have made it seem.

Also come on Lancs and help Warwickshire to the title.

Edit: ok I get why the upper pavilion is usually packed. It's a really good view, high but not far away.

Hampshire have a player called Felix Organ. Surely the best county cricketer name since Graham Onions

it's also got me reflecting on the changes to the city's skyline. So not all good.

                                Organ's out.

Tom Bailey now has figured of 6/27 off 22 overs, which is excellent of course, but will probably give Hampshire’s seamers a boost when they come out later.

Hampshire all out for 193 leaving Lancashire 195 to win, but they're off for bad light

Meanwhile Somerset are not going down without a fight and there seems a fair chance that after their tail has wagged a bit more, Warwickshire will not have a first innings lead. In other news, Yorkshire will not lose by an innings

Lancashire openers are a 6 hit away from reaching the score their 5th wicket fell on in the first innings.

Warks need to get one more wicket in the next 22 balls (and then win the game).

                                              which they failed to do

Lancs lose both openers within the space of 5 balls, undoing what had been an excellent opening stand

Lancs 66/2 now needing 130 to win.

Josh Bohannon has had a great season - here’s his chance to put a cherry on top.
