They were always likely to eventually, their dull grunt power game is pretty inexorable even when they face 15 men. Biggar going off for Northampton relatively early didn't help either.

Pro14 becomes United Rugby Championship as South Africa sides join tournament - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/57475511

More details of the tournament, no games on international weekends is the big news. If the sides are at full strength then this could be a great competition, if.

Friday night games for the Welsh clubs will be on free to air TV.

Cory Hill booted out of the Wales camp because he's looking to move abroad. He informed Pivac and was then asked to leave. All very strange, especially as he only signed for Cardiff last season on what was said to be a long term deal.

We lost Jack Ball for family reasons at the end of the season so that's two locks gone in a month.

Apparently Cory Hill refused to take the original 25% pay cut that others did so believes his contract is no longer valid.

I can see both sides here.

Ronan O'Gara's La Rochelle™ are through to their first-ever Top 14 final, after a 19-6 victory over Racing 92 - Toulouse meet Bordeaux/Begles in the other last four encounter.

Be nice if Stade Rochelais best Toulouse in the final to make up for the Champions Cup Final.

The U20 6 Nations starts tomorrow and is a a series of triple-headers at the Arms Park.

Seemingly behind closed doors even though Welsh government restrictions would allow 4000 crowds. A pity as I'd like to go to at least one set of games.

The games are live on BBC iPlayer and website.

Quins beat Bristol in an insane playoff match. 28-0 down after twenty odd minutes, and then 28-5 down at half time, Quins come back and the game ends in a draw. Extra tine, Quins 38-36 up with almost no time left, a robust turnover and Marchant skips over to seal it for Quins.

In other playoff news, anti-vaxxer cranks beat team coached by unrepentant ex-Saracens arsehole and scrum halved by arrogant little shitbag.

Exeter will crush us in the final, sadly.

AWJ off with a nasty and potentially serious looking hand injury already, why play him in this game?!

BBC saying shoulder now. Why did Tipuric go off?

Didn't see Tips go off as I'm watching on my phone on trains and tubes.

May have been a shoulder for AWJ but thought it looked like he was protecting his hand after a break/dislocation.

At half time they said suspected dislocation, nothing said about Tipuric's injury.

AWJ in the stands watching the match with no visible strapping and his arm isn't in a sling. Perhaps it was a stinger?

Two ex Llandovery players on the pitch for the Lions.

With Conan off injured the Lions have been playing with 14 men for the final 10 minutes or so. They've lost the second half, not a big deal, but there's a lot to work on and for South Africa to exploit.

Christ Almighty, can we please win a trophy that doesn't rely on last gasp heroics? Just once. My heart can't take it.

                                          Also - fuck Paul Gustard.

AWJ and Tips out of the tour, devastating.

                                                Navidi and Beard called up.

Conor Murray new captain which I find unfathomable apart from on seniority. Have he ever captained Munster or Ireland ?

He's the Tour captain of that makes a difference. I think he's probably guaranteed to start the tests as well.

Navidi is not a surprise call up, Beard is even if he's a Gatland favourite.
