      Yeah, well, you're retired, writing click bait opinion pieces for The Mail and the try was awarded. So that's that.

            Yeah, I think that's pointed out in one of the responses.

              So that's two of England's tries chalked off now. Happy days.

                Ah thanks. I actually assumed it was some RU-specific terminology/slang that I'd never heard before

                  A two week break before the next round of matches. It'll give Wales a chance to recover and get some players back, hopefully. I believe that the England based players have to return to their clubs which isn't great.

                    Galthie and an unnamed member of the French staff both test positive for Covid-19. It's a good job It's in the two week break.

                        Gonzalo Bertranou joins the Dragons on a short term contract until the end of the season.

                        Dan Baker Amado does likewise, he's been released from his contract in France.

                        Two very astute signings by the Dragons.

                          This is a very interesting development, a lobby group called Progressive Rugby set up by Jamie Cudmore, James Haskell and Alix Popham along with medical figures from the sport.

                          They've got some clear aims here and need to be listened to.

                            Antoine Dupont is the fourth member of the France team but the first playing member to test positive, he must be a doubt for the Scotland game.

                              Two more positive tests, both players, for France, the wing Gabin Villi?re and prop Mohamed Haouas.

                              Dupont and Galthie apparently were together and unmasked at an awards dinner.

                              France have changed the rules because of new variants so all six have to isolate for ten days meaning all three players are out of the Scotland match.

                                France's capacity to self-destruct returns with a vengeance.

                                If they've lost the in-form player in world rugby because he's caught Covid from his coach in those circumstances it's pure idiocy.

                                  Never seen this before, the last play of the match and it decided the result ;

                                    That is unconventional

                                    From the clip, he doesn't seem to move more than several other kickers who I have seen

                                      Northampton's Biggar (not playing today) being the one everyone is pointing to on rugby twitter.

                                      I don't think the footage in the tweet shows if there was any foot movement from the kicker. If the shuffle of the shoulders is enough to legally trigger the charge down then I'm surprised.

                                        Rob Baxter has said he moved.

                                          Yeah, very impressive of him to be so honest and it looks like he (and the ref) were right ;

                                            I think there's a lot of this going on, the Biggar shuffle being just one example.

                                            I think referees maybe need to give a signal to players that they can charge.

                                              Or just change the law and make conversions be taken within a certain time.

                                                In Sevens they get 30 seconds, plus it's drop kicks only.

                                                  We already have that, "within 90 seconds (playing time) from the time the try was awarded". It's probably not enforced stringently enough though.

                                                    I thought the ref called Simmons for being over time and not for moving and being charged down. Anyway, Baxter, as usual, was a class act on this. More of this, please.
