The women's T20 tri-series in Australia is very tight after India impressively chased down 173 to beat the hosts. With one game left, between England and Australia, Australia need to win to reach the final. If they do win then all three teams will be tied on four points but Australia would be guaranteed to get through on NRR. Given how dominant Australia were in England last summer, it's good that they've been dragged back to the other two.

Pakistan have another home Test, against Bangladesh in Pindi. The hosts are well on top of the first innings.

Bangladesh really shouldn't have dropped him in single figures.

Seems to be stating the obvious that the England set-up cannot deal with a genuine quick bowler of Jamaican descent. I am less convinced that the Jamaican factor is the key one given that there have also been other genuine quicks who rose and fell very quickly, from Harmison onwards, but it's possible that the team's multicultural sensitivity hasn't moved on as much as we would have liked to think since Devon Malcolm was so badly mishandled.

The u19 final is a classic, with Bangladesh needing 34 runs with 3 wickets left.

And they managed it. Fantastic for Bangladesh. India will be happy enough that in Jaiasawal they have by far the best batsman and in Bishnoi one of the best bowlers in the tournament.

England women fell short of the target against Australia and the hosts will play India in the tri nations T20 final. Still, a good warm up for England ahead of the World T20.

Radio commentary in NZ is set to end. The current broadcaster (Radio Sport) doesn't want to pay the asking price, and it may just be the public to-and-fro of negotiations, but unless a deal with NZ Cricket is reached ... Coney and Waddle, farewell.

One of those things that you assume will always be there in summer, but with no licence fee, no anti-siphoning law, and not much competition, if the commercial radio station doesn't want it, then it's gone.

Made worse by Radio Sport's statement: "Radio Sport will continue to keep Kiwi cricket fans in the know across next summer with match updates, robust opinion, in-depth analysis and plenty of talkback." A classic example of the insulting, "you're getting less so we'll pretend it's more" public relations crap.

Good day for Kyle Jamieson though.

That would be a darn shame as I really enjoy listening to NZ cricket via Radio Sport. Waddle and Coney are two of the more knowledgeable and enjoybale commentators in the game with the former being one of those voices that seems to be have been around forever. He is the voice of New Zealand, just lIke Tony Cozier was for West Indies cricket, and always reassuring to hear on TMS every three years or so.

It sounds a bit like they'll try to do something like the BBC did without live access to the recent series in South Africa. A load of pundits gabbling on from a studio in London (or possibly Manchester) with Agnew doing the occasional live report on the phone from the ground. It was woeful, but sometimes preferable to the banality of the talksport commentators.

Do cricket on the radio properly. It's not a big ask.

Wonderful voices. This would be a big loss.

And yet somehow Danny Morrison is allowed to commentate

*sighs and wanders off somewhere in disgust

It's rare for people to go to New Zealand for a test series and enhance their reputations, and India are heading to defeat in the first test. They got the worst of the conditions, but their second innings batting especially has been pretty weak.

This was NZ's 100th Test win, in Ross Taylor's 100th Test.

They took a long while to get going. I can remember their 10th (1978 v England, under Boycott's captaincy). Their 50th was this century (England 2002).

In commentary they mentioned that Boult and Southee have played together in 28 of NZ's 100 test wins.

Afghanistan need 52 runs in 48 balls, with 8 wickets in hand, to win 3-0 v Ireland (T/20 in India).

I thought it was in the bag but ended up dead level with Ireland winning the Super Over 12 runs to 8.

Very minor issue compared to all the serious stuff, but I think the ICC Test Championship is now fucked. They won't get the games in.

Perhaps the England cricketers might have been safer staying in Sri Lanka ?

Very possibly, but they will be worried about their families and their minds would not be able to focus on cricket.

Aus v NZ ODIs are being played in empty stadia.

A spectator at the women's T20 final has tested positive.
