Oh, and Barty started the match against Riske with four straight aces, apparently. She is the second female player to do that this tournament - Kvitova managed the same at 0-2 down in the opening set against Mladenovic. Talking of which, Konta and Kvitova are on court. I'm happy to see either in the Semis, so come on Tennis. But not Tennys, he's a pillock. One who, sadly, has just won a set two breaker against Querrey to level up at a set all. C'mon Sam!

Bottom half of the Women's draw now reads Svitolina, Muchova, Halep, Zhang. The odds on that line-up pre-tournament... Halep the strong favourite to make her first Wimbledon final. Barty winning Roland Garros and Halep doing so at Wimbledon would just sum up the unpredictability of the Woman's game at the moment!

Basically, think the Augusta National but with British rather than American class context.
Apparently, it's not really very expensive. (Augusta, I think, probably costs five figures a year in dues) But there are fewer than 400 members.

5 out of the 8 over 31, every single one of them least 28 and a half. Extraordinary. (Mind you, it's been several months now since we were first able to say that no man under 30 has won a slam singles title...)
