    The home teams are seeded too, though - so that has to be taken into account.

        In the Davis Cup as it was prior to it being taken out the back and blown away this year, Argentina's win in 2016 was either the first ever or second ever time that a country had won it without playing a single tie at home*. And it came immediately after Great Britain had won it after playing all of their ties apart from the final at home.

        *In the 'classic' format, that is. Obviously in the early years it happened a fair number of times.
