It said Leach replaced Rashid when I read it, shortly after Kev's post. I think the Guardian have updated it following some duff info

I did wonder but they've kept the original time stamp on the story and not acknowledged an edit to it, the Guardian is normally pretty good about doing so online. Weird.

        Yeah, I'm surprised too.

Oo er. Yes, it definitely said Leach when I put it up.

Cricinfo thinks Leach might replace Moeen, but The Guardian just has Leach on standby. I think Leach should play as Moeen's form is woeful. Even if Leach weakens the batting, England need 20 wickets to get back into the series and he's been reliable.

Moeen's form is 'woeful'? His batting has been, but since the start of last summer he's taken 34 wickets in 6 tests at 24.

Fair point; I stand corrected. Leach's average is 21.38 though, which is still ahead. They could play both if there's nothing for seamers in the pitch. Drop a batsman (they need 20 wickets).

Sure, absolutely. I think Leach replacing Rashid would be perfectly reasonable.

And at least one jar of jam with that review. Fuckinell.

Toe end to the keeper, for goodness sake.

I am usually against putting the opposition in, meaning you have to bat last. I'm still not sure it was the correct shout.

Meanwhile, Anderson's record of 147 Tests for a specialist bowler will stand for a long time because nobody plays as many Tests as England have done in Jimmy's time (I could imagine Botham playing that many if England has this schedule in 1977-90, or Underwood a decade earlier). It's a tribute to Jimmy's fitness and consistency.

Christ, Root had no chance there.

Well, that's a hell of a delivery and catch.

Too many fucking boundaries being conceded.

                                    Balls. Buttler now.

Bairstow with the right idea so far. Hit the fucker while you're still there, as there's a ball with your name on it coming soon.

I think West Indies have blown this. Too many boundaries for a low-scoring game.

78-4 at lunch - Bairstow unbeaten on 62. England and Wales still favourites on Betfair

Are we playing a game somewhere too then?

                                            Also, I think you've made a typo on Bairstow's total, it's 52.

Good luck finding anything about Welsh cricket on the "England and Wales Cricket Board" website.

Why we're still strapped to the ECB is beyond me.
