I am not a basketball fan but I find this news unbelievable, Allen Iverson looks like he will join the Turkish basketball team Besiktas Cola Turka.

Cola Turka was the religious company's alternative to Coca Cola and Pepsi and sold well when it was lauched with the help of a Checy Chase led advertising campaign.

I wonder if this transfer will do anything for the team or would they have been better off bringing in Checy Chase as the big foreign name.

I don't think this is as strange as Marbury playing in China. But Starbury is strange to begin with, so that might be fitting.
