OTF's most hated sport rolling in its own faeces yet again. All this coming week, in fact. Just in time for the Olympics, too - oh goody!
I'm not really a very close follower of athletics, but I do have a slight interest in it, as my landlady/mate was once briefly in the UK squad (until her knee blew out). She still holds the UK schools u-13 100m record, if I recall correctly. (She didn't know that until I told her, last year!) Anyway - I love it in principle and I wish it could just sort itself out, but I understand the exasperated concerns of more cynical onlookers. It's getting worse than cycling - another sport I have a passing fondness for.
It's only a matter of time (or, perhaps 'timing') until a similar situation explodes in Formula 1, I reckon. That'll be a shocker for alot of people, I think.
