Probably the most farcical sporting event ever

As if it isn't ridiculous enough that the Blue Riband trophy for sailing is currently held by a "yacht club" based on Lake Geneva, they and their (inevitably American) challengers are now arguing over 19th-century documents, in the New York Supreme Court, about where they're even allowed to hold the next contest.

In what other sport would someone go running off bawling like a baby to the bloody Supreme Court? Jeez. And they haven't even begun arguing about what shape the bloody boats are allowed to be, yet. That'll probably take a US Supreme Court decision, after four years of legal argument.

The Americas Cup is a legal event isn't it? THe sailing bits are just there to give them something else to argue about.

The Supreme Court is the trial court/court of first instance in the State of New York.

There are 62 of them, one for each county.

Please note, although no boardcode buttons are shown, they are still useable
That's always bothered me. Why can't we at least standardize the names of our courts?
