    But bent players, on the other hand ...

    Can't believe this of these two. They must both make far more money from potting balls than they could hope to make from fixing matches.

    V surprised to see Maguire linked to this - what is he, number 3 or 4 in the world? I've never heard of the other fella so possibly he would gain financially. Is snooker a big betting sport?

    Should stress that they're "only" being questioned yet.

      A couple of posts on it at the start of the 2008 UK Championship thread.

      The officials seem to have made a few errors in how they handled the situations.

      How do they differentiate money being staked due to an influential tipster and word of mouth compared to a criminal conspiracy? A much smaller amount of money needs to be staked on a snooker match than on a football match to significantly change odds.
