Following SR's excellent piece re disco on The Quietus, and G-Mans follow up blog piece, I have been unable to listen to anything this week bar some brilliant TK Disco compilations, (Miami ! Foxy!), the superb Philly-Disco-Soul perfection of Ecstasy, Passion and Pain (detail), and a disco/re-edits mixtape by Dimitri From Paris.
this rediscovered love of funked up disco, made me remember an excellent track that the NME (yes the NME !) dropped onto their Go-Go vinyl compilation that they released in 1986. (4000 copies only)
War on the Bullshit - Osiris.
11 minutes of absolute perfection.
So, as I dont have the techno-toys, are there any of you folks with this slice of dirty funk in your mp3 collections ?
I am aware that the normal album version is available via Cherry Red (sample), but thats a mere 5 minutes, and I was wanting the full fat version.
so over to you folks - anyone ?
