Alternative thread title: "It was the 1st of February, a day I'll always remember"

With Edwards gone, all the leads on Papa Was A Rolling Stone are now dead. Only bass Otis Williams is still alive, but all he did was do the "And Mama" bits. Indeed, of all eight members of the two legendary Temptations line-ups — 1960s and early-to mid-'70s— only Otis Williams is now still alive.

74 isn't a great age by general standards but it is pretty good going for a Temp. Their psychedelic soul period, coinciding with DE's incumbency, was absolutely awesome.

He was in a trio with Ruffin and Kendricks when they both died in 1991-92. Otis Williams is still touring with various replacement members.

Ball of Confusion is a perfect song.

just look at this for psychedelic soul Backdrop, outfits, choerography.

Ball of Confusion (that's what the world is today)

Best use of parentheses in Motown.

Hadn't seen your post MsD. But yes isn't it just.
