The lad who replaced Clarke in The Hollies was even more out of place. He couldn't speak english let alone mancunian.

        A minefield, this one

Alan Clark= lecherous Tory MP (son of TV's Kenneth Clark, who is not to be confused with long-serving tobacco MP Kenneth Clarke)

        Allan Clark = American sculptor

Alan Clarke = Gritty TV/film director (Scum, Rita Sue and Bob Too). Father of TV's Gabriel Clarke, I recently discovered.

Allan Clarke = Hollies man; and former Scunthorpe manager, bother of Frank, Derek, Kelvin and Wayne (but not of Newcastle/Forest Frank Clark)

I think you'll find that I put together on here a near-complete first eleven of Leeds players with pop namesakes a couple of years back.

Someone else will have to find it, though, as I'm on a mobile that doesn't much care for the OTF search function.

Well, I’m not going to watch the live version of “Buck Dich” the same way any more.

I'm just glad, especially after listing them in my top three artists list, that I saw this thread title and immediately thought of the video linked in the original post before I clicked on it.

There were times when the tattooed fella in Boyzone looked like he belonged in a prison weight room, pumping iron with the Aryan Brotherhood instead of singing No Matter What.

John Entwistle, basically for standing dead still while his bandmates moved in every direction. Though that might be a thing with bass guitarists in general.

Not all bassists are wallflowers. One word - Flea.

                            Nic Burke?

(But that's mainly because I just know him as the "bloke from behind the bar")

                                Wellington - out of place.

                                Tomsk - non-wallflower bassist.

Craig Gannon in his brief Smiths spell

Brian Wilson when he was brought back into the touring band

The guy who plays bass in Costello's Imposters.

Billy Preston - great musician, made the Beatles be nice to each other post-Twickenham, and they needed a keyboard player when doing Get Back live, but he highlighted the band's disintegration.
