Just fixing that title for you ian.

Prof. Stephen Hawking appears – so far as one can say it's "him" per se, when it's his famous synthesised voice – on Pink Floyd's Keep Talking from The Division Bell.

There's a sample of Jeffrey Bernard's voice on New Order's Lowlife and they pinched the name from his column.

Tom Courtenay turns up on Saint Etienne's So Tough, along with a few others including David Essex and possibly Dirk Bogarde.

Dr Magnus Pyke in Landscape's 'Einstein A Go - Go'.

He wasn't that famous, admittedly, but probably more so than Landscape.

James Fox and Jagger on e=mc2 by BAD.

Performance is sampled on a Happy Mondays track, too.

But these are samples and not guest performances.

Hmm, not too sure about all these movie samples. Hundreds upon thousands of artists have done that.

Magnus Pyke for sure, on She Blinded Me With Science, as he recorded the pieces specifically. (Was he also on Einstein a Go Go? Don't recall that.) Ditto Daniels.

I think Motty recorded his part especially for Three Lions. As have probably a few commentators on other football-based records.

Stephen Fry and Rolf Harris have made appearances on Kate Bush albums. Despite this, she's still rightly acknowledged as a musical genius.

Vincent Price counts, and Kate Moss probably qualifies as a musical artiste by now.
