    I hope to god it's better than Drukqs. You could just about have salvaged a decent four-track EP from that one.

    Bit harsh on Drukqs, for me. I reckon there's an album of good material in there. I'd agree with anyone that says a double album was self-indulgent. 'Vordhosbn' still sends shivers down my spine when the bass kicks in.

    Still, will be looking forward to this. Wonder when it's out?

      Aphex Twin is back!

      I haven't kept up with what he's been doing in the meantime but thirteen years between albums is long enough that it will be a surprise if the new one doesn't underwhelm. He, the external environment and his audience will all have changed significantly in that time. The most likely outcome will be something like the response to Kraftwerk's Tour De France Soundtracks: seen as a tidy enough example of what the act does but with an unspoken '...only it didn't change my life like it used to.'
