Give enough monkeys enough typewriters …

Prolific, yet critically unloved artists who, maybe just once, made something of merit.

Voodoo Party by James Last. I got hold of a copy a couple of months ago and it's really quite good. Bit crazy as well.

    Any more examples?

There was that one Keane song that wasn't all mimsy and wet... Spiralling, that's the one. It briefly looked like they were trying to become something a bit more interesting but no, soon back to the wet mimsyness.

Exhibit B, if I may: Stop For A Minute, ft. K'naan, from their 2010 mini-album Night Train.

Oh, James Last is really worth the benefit of doubt. Often it will be unmerited, but sometimes it's highly rewarding.

Given a stave has only five bars, and most people's musical range is only around a couple of octaves at most, would it be a smaller value of infinity for monkeys with music typewriters to come up with, say, the works of John Lennon?

Mozart and Beethoven, a larger infinity, because they scored for orchestra, and in the case of Mozart, opera as well?
