I recently got a copy of James Last's
Voodoo Party
(which fetches high prices nowadays, although I got a secondhand copy for €8).
It may be a case of giving enough monkeys enough typewriters, but it's really quite good.

He seems to have been the Barbara Cartland of music in terms of churning out a huge volume of albums, which usually charted. Especially remarkable if he exercised any kind of quality control.
