    New(ish) music

I'd love to contribute to the threads that post songs from this year, but I'm usually anywhere between 2 and 50 years off of hearing anything that would qualify.
I would still like to share the songs I've heard recently somewhere, because why not... so if you've experienced something similar, please share, I'm hoping to hear something that may otherwise slip through the net.

First up, heard this 3 days ago and I've been grooving ever since

I've always had time for Hot Chip, yet as I spin an ever increasing number of plates in my day to day endeavors, completely missed this number until November last year, which felt like I'd discovered a long lost family member who just happened to make an amazing song.

Ah, computer games, saviour of the pandemic and its various lockdowns. 2020 was a good year; it was the year konami made a football game that wasn't complete dogshit, ending my 12 year hiatus from not playing it. It also had some wonderful songs on there, including this one, a very charming song about young love. Her voice is great.

And here's Matt Berry and his band reimagining the theme tune to the Ronnie Corbett sitcom 'Sorry'.
        Don't drop the dub!

Here's the antidote to people dancing and trying to act as though IT'S VERY IMPORTANT.
It's my favourite music video since I can't remember

Heard this last year, such a well put together song.

The energy in this song has made me feel ten years younger

This makes me want to put my dancing shoes on, which is good going because my back's in a right mess.

Dancing shoes are going on, which will make walking in the snow tricky, but dancing to this far easier.
Hope you're having a good weekend morherfuckers!

I'm a big fan of SVE, and her live show really kicked up a notch when she toured that album. Seventeen is the stand out track from that album for me.

Keep 'em coming Mr D, good to see Georgia getting a nod too - when we did the top 5 albums of 2020 thread I should have included hers but due to the recent bendy time continuum I'd forgotten it came out at the start of 2020 and assumed it was longer ago.

Sound job WFD, I haven't listened that song by SvE, I shall do so now.
Georgia's new to me, and thought so highly of the song I'd heard, almost considered it to be lightning in a bottle, so it's good to see praise for her album.

I'm not sure what's going in with the guitar here, but my ears know that they love it, and have never heard anything like this song before.

2nd appearance for Benny sings in collaboration with MDM, a musician who I have a lot of time for.
The latter has cited the bruton music library as a big influence, which comes across in this effort.

I may be waist-deep in snow, but I'm still dancing.

                                Delightful.

YouTube kept recommending this, so I eventually gave in.
                                    Very, very glad i did.

The bassline keeps me returning to this.
what a talented bunch of musicians they are.

This will help you grow a beard.
I asked my girlfriend at the time what her favourite song was.
                                        She said this.
                                        Good f*cking answer.
I only heard it for the first time two years ago, so it counts.

I was always more of a supergrass fan during the great britpop wars of the 90's, and a song like this by front man Gaz Coombes reminds me of why that was.

Start at 2:15 for some of the filthiest synth beats I've heard in a while.
Glorious, bleak and hopeful at the same time.

Housey, synthy goodness by Nina Kraviz.
