I can't link to any particularly useful listening links, but Wadada Leo Smith is absolutely on fire as he hits his 80th year. Finland's TUM records are releasing some peerless recordings of his, around 20 CDs this year I think. The two I've just heard, The Chicago Symphonies and A Sonnet For Billie Holiday, are just sensational. There's an incredible line-up of players on these recordings too, including Vijay Iyer, Jack DeJohnette, Henry Threadgill, etc.
