The vocal and musical tour-de-force that is Barbra Streisand's 'Don't Rain On My Parade'. No idea why it popped into my head earlier this evening and has stayed there since, but I don't mind at all.

I’ve probably heard this 1,000 times and it gets in my head every now and then. But every time, I’m more and more impressed by how perfect the composition and production is.

I think we didn’t know how good pop was in the early 80s because there was just so much of it.

                          If I Didn't Have A Dime — Gene Pitney

It's a sing-a-long for me. Except, since I was 14, I always change to lyrics to: "I saw you standing there, golden lips and ruby hair."

This version of The Jam's "In the City" fits well with the Stiff Little Fingers post yesterday.
