        Midnight Oil Jimmy Sharman's Boxers.

The Oils like their brass but not so much their sax.

Manic Street Preachers Kevin Carter has Sean Moore playing the trumpet. It's rather good.

There's an amazing live show here of EWF, with some astonishingly virtuoso brass playing throughout - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiOZKkhsfiw

The brass/horn section went on to work with Phil Collins of course - I think Sussudio was based on the riff that forms the centrepiece of the comedy 'brass mess it up' section in the above video. Most of his output was dross with them, although I have a soft-spot for this one, mainly because of the tightness of the Pheonix Horns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8ZN...&start_radio=1

Since I’ve permitted sax, it would be remiss of me not to mention the much missed Clarence Clemons, in general and specifically on Jungleland.

It would be remiss of me not to miss the pun, "No sax before an OTF fight."

Kevin Carter by the Manics popped up on shuffle on the lunchtime walk to the shop. Not a bad example.

EDIT: just seen Antepli's example. I'm never, ever first with anything in this place.

The single version of Close to Me has some rather fun trumpet from half way along that was rather missing from the album version.

                            Is "fun trumpet" a euphemism?

Oh, hold on … the OP said brass.

Swindle's 'Coming Home' (with Kojey Radical) features a great brass section. The video is pretty good too.

                                    Pink oboe is definitely woodwind.

The slogan on the Peter and the Test Tube Babies' T-shirts last December - Tune In, Turn On, Fuck Off - was better.

Rusty trombone is brass though. After a fashion.
