With Bernard Sumner's 'yacht rant', it certainly seems Manchester is rising up for the right all of a sudden...

He's gone all edgy tory cunt about not wearing a mask

And yes imp , the blue tick is a useful way to check at a glance whether (usually) famous names on Twitter are actually who they seem to be – as opposed to a parody or more malicious type of person masquerading as them.
They're endemic enough that (perhaps unfortunately) the lack of one by John Squire's name makes one want to double-check it as it's relatively unusual these days for any sort of 'notable' figure to remain unverified on there. In context, though, I think we can hopefully be reassured that it is the genuine Mr Squire.

The best thing about that Ian Brown tweet was John Squire's reply. I always used to think Squire was the fuckwit in the Roses.

Chris Martin is probably too beige to be offensive.
(Unless he's done something heinous of which I'm unaware?)

Yeah, the Brown stuff has upset me a bit, as I'm a total slave.
But 12 pages and not one mention of Chris Martin?

He was coming out with Biblical based cod Rasta spliff addled foolery to justify homophobia twenty years back, and there was the assault on that cabin crew member, so can't say I'm that surprised. But what a colossal wanker.

Jesus, what was that on the Simon & Garfunkel thread about separating artist from art? That’s going to be a real struggle with this guy now.

Has a touch of leadsingeritis but generally OK. He turns on the charm for me but if he was a real dick they wouldn't invite him in the first place.

I like the way that Hucknell then goes on to list named examples to back up his choices (not too sure that all of the British musos are from working class backgrounds) but when he gets to the flamenco gypsies (is that even an actual "culture"? Actually, the others aren't either really, so what the hell, I suppose) he just links to some of their "stuff".
One of my friends has got African American and Jewish blood and was brought up in a working class British household. Super-cool? Not really.

A list that isn't pointed in a neater manner?
Needless title case?
Sweeping over-generalisations?
An avatar that shows Hucknall wearing sunglasses indoors without good reason (fucking hell, even that cunt Bonio's got an excuse)?
I didn't think it was possible for him to irritate me any more than he already did but by Jove, he's somehow managed it.
