Not sure of his impact over yonder, but he had a decent run of FM radio rock songs in the '70s and early '80s in the US and Canada.

And he cropped up on The Kominsky Method recently, which was odd but....odd.

Yeah, he was a staple of classic rock radio. 70 is a bit too young to die, but that's a lot longer than a lot of other rock people.
