There were a couple of decent typos (typoes?) in yesterdays mailshot from Ghostly International, whilst promoting Matthew Dear's forthcoming (mainly festivals) tour:
"06.06 Glaslow, UK @ Captain's Rest"
Try telling that to certain Glaswegians in person.
"06.12 Invernes, UK @ Rock Ness Festival"
This sounds like something you might see on a Medieval woodcut about the dangers of witchcraft. I suppose in one sense the place is indeed 'invernal' for a lot of the year (which, I assume, might be how it got its name). But it also conjures up images of 'infernal', which has different connotations in the public consciousness.
Either misspelling would make good names for bands, though, it has to be said. (Although Glasvegas have kind of cornered the market, there, I think.)
