Pity, it's a nice clue. I tried for one with "youth" in as well, but I didn't come up with any as good as that.
Right. I decided to look into this (probably a mistake), but is there any rhyme or reason to how one gets from 'day out' to 'Nick Park'. I get that you put the answer to the last clue into the new clue, but why Nick Park exactly.
Nick Park is the animator (and therefore, I guess, the go-to guy) for A Grand Day Out. Plus nick = steal and park = landscape. It's a bit of a stretch, but I'm pretty sure it's right.
So there does need to be a connection then. Backtracking, I don't see the link between 'solver' and 'day out' either, so I guess I'll just butt out of this now.
