                                    I've sent a copy to various other crosswording chums, hope they like it too.

                                    If anyone's interested, Araucaria's Graun colleague John Henderson (aka Enigmatist) was on the BBC R4 today program on Wednesday morning, just before 9am. Quite poignant as I was en route to a cousin's funeral at the time.

                                    Aye, that Newsround clue is a bit clunk-click (if we can mention another 70s TV icon). My trusty assistants Pru and Freda are on the case.

                                                    Bayou = creek, endless -> CRE*

                                                    Country capital = Sucre

                                                    (*I'm not sure if that creek->cre transformation was entirely fair because of the fact that I took two letters off rather than one)
