Day 31 report:

A curious look to today's card: only two hole winners in the bottom six matches, yet every match in the top half featured a birdie winner. We had 3-4 so often, you'd think it was a band rehearsal going wrong.

Despite their first halved hole of the round, there's nothing sedate about pebblethefish v Sam as they have now racked up 7 under par between them in a match worthy of higher billing. Given how events have unfolded since, it must be galling for pebble to think that the two of us were level after eight holes in Round 1.

Joining AB in seizing the lead for the first time are Sean of the Shed and Hot Orange, whose coinage of 'Parmageddon' is a lip-smacking addition to the matchplay lexicon. Simon G and San Bernardhinault each landed a first hole win to keep things interesting among the chasing pack.
