I've got the feelin' today was the day to faff around for a 5 myself, seeing as that appears to be pretty much the par for the course today.

Day 30 / Wordle matchplay Day 100 report:

On a point of information Various Artist, par for the course was 5.04, though I'll grant you that 5 was the median. The modal scores today were 5 and 6 (can anyone work out what my day job is?)

In the least surprising plot development since Monty Don first wielded a trowel, yesterday's serenity presaged carnage to besmirch this landmark day in the matchplay calendar. Sailing on, impervious to the jeopardy, are Sean of the Shed, Artificial Hipster and the anything-but-sedentary Sits, who emulates ad hoc's Round 3 feat of storming to 2 up with scores that no opponent would have beaten. Arguably it's an even neater trick to shoot a 5 and still bag the hole, which five players pulled off.

With no sense of occasion whatsoever, Auntie Beryl grinds out an 18th halved hole in 28 visits, to settle conclusively the exciting/boring conundrum pondered by caja-dglh.
