I was exactly the same. Nearly went for THINE on go 2, but rejected it for the same reason. Then like a fool I didn't use N or T until it was too late.

While out on the bike this morning, I got to thinking about what today's starter word should be. WHITE was the first word that came to mind. The second - as I was pondering other words featuring Ts and Ws - was TWINE. And then I was trying to remember who Scott Twine signed for this summer. Was it Burnley? Anyway, I could quite easily have plumped for that for the opener. I didn't, but that's what made me go for TWINE rather than TWICE for shot 2.
