I lobbied for Strasbourg when my then-girlfriend and I went for a nice weekend break on the Eurostar, but she thought the journey was too long, so we went to Lille. Which I liked a lot. Cool gallery-museum in an art deco swimming pool. A free zoo. Nice food.
