First time the Women's World Cup has had a board all to itself on here and my inner message board bureaucrat is thinking about how we should do the match threads. For a men's World Cup or Euros we've always done one thread per match with a joint thread for the simultaneous matches at the end of each group.

I suspect that might not be the best way to do things this time - though perhaps I'm wrong. I like to think we want something a bit more granular than just one thread for all the matches (as happened in the past) so would it work if we set up a thread for each of the six groups and went with that?

There would be direct comparability with the engagement levels of the Men's competition in having a thread per game. But based on past behaviour on here (including this very thread!), I don't think that would be a good look...
