    From now on it's thirds...

Weakest group as well as the dullest? Hopefully Spain can find a finisher.

It didn't look like the weakest group at the outset, I'd have had the Netherlands group for that accolade, but apart from Slovakia in the first game there just hasn't been anything close to a decent performance yet.

I always thought the Spanish national anthem didn't have lyrics, did they get Eduard Khil to write some?

Did the two coaches ever play against each other?

Due to the running track, are these the largest technical areas in the world?

Szczesny has never filled me with confidence, i'm aware he plays for Juve but is he really better than Fabianski? I know the latter is also susceptible to the occasion clanger, but he seems to have been pretty solid for West Ham the last couple of years.

I see they are both roughly on the same number of international caps, hadn't realised Fabianski is a few years older.

I would love to have heard what he was saying. But the bastards kept talking over him.

Already at least one attack where Spain were trying to walk it in but many other teams would have found a way to score.

Feel sorry for Lewandowski there, up there about 30 yards from his nearest teammate

Do Spain really have no creative players to call on?

Even I could see that was offside.

                                And now I'm wrong...

Wow, think he was on indeed onside.

                                    Looked offside to me.

You can't blame the officials for assuming Morata would be offside, to be fair.

I still think he was offside. And it didn't seem to touch a Polish player in the way through. Odd.

Hmmm... Another VAR call within the margin of error of the technology

Defender's planted foot kept him on.

Poland going out as it stands.

A competition in which the Irish and Poles have struggled for overall supremacy for centuries
