No cead mile failte for Dublin?

Given that all sporting activity in Ireland is likely to be held behind closed doors until at least September, and much of Europe has now been added to a mandatory hotel quarantine list, it seems highly probable that Dublin will lose the right to Euro 2020/1 group games.

Pity, but we've fucked up so often in the last year, we've got to get it right this time.

UEFA wanting crowds at this seems a sick joke anyways.

Bilbao is in the same boat as Dublin and there are quite a few people against the idea in principle.

Not surprised it's two venues where the national team won't be involved that are digging in their heels

TBF, when people here were only just allowed to travel within their own county today, the Euros aren't exactly a priority ...

I don't think ireland being in it would materially change things all that much. This would be politically unacceptable either way

As expected, Dublin loses our games to Covid free St Petersburg and London.

Spain still won't have played in Bilbao since 1967.

It's disappointing of course, but hardly surprising. And having 25 or 50%,capacity without pre-match drinks, Fan Zones for the kids, foreign fans, etc would make for a fairly half-arsed experience. My boys are 10 and 12 so it would have been a great occasion for them. Germany 2024 is on the radar now!

So, a possible extra home game for England, and three extra for Spain
