    Did This Really Happen?

Huw Johns supposedly did the 1966 WC Final for ITV but the only commentary I can find is by Brian Moore

EDIT: Unless they sounded very similar back in 1966, which is possible. For the fourth goal (11:00) the commentator initially mistakes Hurst for Peters, which is maybe why ITV don't show it much.

There's an apocryphal story of ITV cutting to an advert but that's a spoof done in 2010, apparently.

Didn't Brian Moore do the BBC radio commentary?

I remember seeing a countdown of the top 100 TV moments in 1999 and Wolstenholme obviously featured. They also interviewed Johns and played his commentary, which Stuart Maconie quotes verbatim in Hope & Glory. It went along the lines of "Can Hurst make it three? He has! He has! That is it! That is it!"
