I remember saying similar when he was Celtic manager - it's not okay for knuckle-draggers to threaten, abuse or assault Neil Lennon. But given that he knows well enough what these people are like, he really needs to stop noising them up.

Yep, fair enough blameless, Gary Caldwell does appear to be a bit shit. Only 4 games gone though, so give him time. Is there now panic talk about getting it right when the January transfer window opens?
Meanwhile Dundee & St Mirren played out the most predictable draw of the year. The only surprise is that both teams scored. Can we not just relegate them both now? I'm hoping we don't panic buy in January in some pathetic attempt to stay up; instead plan for getting a team ready for a promotion campaign next season. Dundee on the other
hand might go mental & no doubt end up in administration.

International break means the Diddy Cup takes centre stage again this weekend as we reach the quarter-finals. We've already had the first tie as last night Welsh league-leaders, Connah's Quay Nomands, scored 2 late goals to beat Queens Park 2-1 at Hampden Park in front of 559 hardy souls. The live coverage on BBC Alba clearly kept the fans away. Today sees Edinburgh City host Alloa whilst Motherwell U21s are at home to Ross County.
The remaining tie between Bohemians and East Fife has been postponed until sometime in 2019, hopefully before the semis are due to be played. Why the delay? Well, the League of Ireland season finished a few weeks ago and apparently Bohs don't have enough registered players to complete this tie. Nobody at the SPFL saw this scenario coming, or if they did, probably hoped no League of Ireland team would make it this far in the competition. It's not called the Diddy Cup for nothing!

Be interesting to see how Thistle get on down at Palmerston later today. The entire team's now knackered and psychologically shell shocked after being nothing more than a play thing for the SAS. One player tries to run for his life but suddenly has four trained killers man-handling him back to the hellhole, and I don't think Jack Storer will be too chuffed that everyone now knows that he was so petrified that he started crying.
Great result last night for Ayr Utd, hammering Dundee Utd 5-0 at Tannadice. Utd were on a good run, so was it just a blip or will they fall apart again like they did under Shabba?

I really have no idea why anybody at Thistle thought it was a good idea to hire this imbecile. No knowledge of the lower divisions in Scotland, and he'll cost us a fortune to get rid of once the board suss exactly how unsuited to the job he truly is.
This posturing bootcamp nonsense really is the crowning steamer on top of the cake.

Yep, years since I've been to San Starko. Hopefully my next visit is due to an unexpected turnaround for both teams rather than what looks like the inevitable conclusion to this horrible year and season (seriously, losing both Lambie and Davie Mac, relegation and Gary Caldwell? Fuck off, 2018).

Another home win for Dumbarton under Jim Duffy. Our away form has been complete bobbins but a solid 4-1 win over Brechin yesterday was great. Dom Thomas showed again why he's far too good for this league with a man of the match performance and we really didnt give Brechin anything but a consolation. They didnt really have many chances all game.
We need to start picking up points away from home if we're going to push for a play-off place but hopefully relegation won't be a consideration come May.

Whilst it would be nice if someone could finally stop celtic from hoovering up every domestic trophy, it's unlikely to be Aberdeen later today. Let's hope it's a decent final and not a one-sided procession for the blessed Brendan & co.
