Now to work out how the fuck we can afford to do the final...
Walking up to the buses through Villa Borghese we did think it could be unwise to drop off thousands of people in the middle of the night in the middle of a large unlit park. We were hoping for Piazza del Popolo as we were staying about 3 mins away, so somewhat dismayed by the eventual destination. Wandered back through town and grabbed a couple of delicious Augustiners in a side street a couple of minutes from Piazza del Popolo.

Getting back early doors to do the podcast, so no sleep before the taxi arrived at 4:30 but managed about 90 mins on the Ryanair to Stansted. This is the result:

Well done to Roma fans for giving it a go with the flags and everything but... San Siro in 2008 was better and more intimidating. That 2nd half for Liverpool... dunno... thought the fans were more nervous about it than they should've been. Really enjoyed the scenes after the final whistle. We have a good thing going there.

PS Booked my flights in the closing minutes of the Anfield match. Gamble very much worth taking.

Had the same thoughts but as we were staying 5 minutes from the park we would’ve been happy to take our chances....

Didn’t want to risk jinxing it by booking before we were definitely there, so may now be looking at silly money or 3 days in the same undercrackers and a long old bus ride from/to Warsaw. Lesson learned, financial prudence should win out over superstition.

Only ~63% of them for "general supporters" (~10,500).
Anyone with 7/12 CL games (e.g. all homes + 1 away) is guaranteed one (should be ~5,000 of these 'cos of Roma). Ballot for 6/12.
        Prices from £61 to £394 (!)
