    Managerial merry go round

Who has managed the most current Premier League clubs?

    I can think of:
Pulis - West Brom, Palace and Stoke
Moyes - West Ham, Everton and Man U
Big Sam - Newcastle, Palace and West Ham

I thought Sparky would have more but most of his former clubs aren't in the Premier League any more.

Has anyone been in the hotseat at 4 or more current Premier League clubs?

Just realised Hodgson has managed Palace, Liverpool and West Brom.

Palace seem to be a theme here.

Nigel Pearson: West Brom*, Newcastle*, Southampton, Leicester

Italy finds such puny numbers amusing.

Here's Luigi Del Neri, who almost certainly is not the current record holder

                    1998 Empoli
                    1998–1999 Ternana
                    2000–2004 Chievo
                    2004 Porto
                    2004–2005 Roma
                    2005–2006 Palermo
                    2006–2007 Chievo
                    2007–2009 Atalanta
                    2009–2010 Sampdoria
                    2010–2011 Juventus
                    2012–2013 Genoa
                    2015–2016 Hellas Verona
                    2016– Udinese

Indeed. Someone as relatively recent to management as Siniša Mihajlović can already tick off five of the current Serie A teams (Bologna, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Milan, Torino), in addition to his Catania and Serbia jobs.

I'd be surprised if anyone can actually top that eight from Del Neri though? (Chievo. Roma, Atalanta, Sampdoria, Juventus, Genoa, Hellas Verona, Udinese)

If we include ex-Premier then Martin O'Neill has four. Norwich, Leicester, Villa, Sunderland.

That would be 3 Championship clubs for Martin

Good calls. Wouldn't count them personally.

John Bond also managed four of the current Premier League 20: Bournemouth, Burnley, Man City, Swansea. Or is it active managers only who are playing?

Back to Serie A and Ranieri comes close to Del Neri, with seven of the current 20 (Cagliari, Napoli, Fiorentina, Parma, Juventus, Roma, Inter). There was a managerial change at Sassuolo in the summer, a club Ranieri had spoken highly of in the last couple of seasons. A shame really that he went to Nantes rather than bagging his eighth.

                                        No that would count.

They sound like a really dodgy firm of solicitors. Bond is the only one who has no dirt on him as far as I'm aware.

I know. It's kind of rhythmic.

I want to follow it with Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb.

The answer to this kind of question used to be Tommy Docherty. But it's now a tradition for one of his ex-clubs to get relegated from the Premier League every year.

                                                He's still alive, anyway.

Plenty of it thrown at him from a particular corner of East Lancashire.
